Smith Brothers Restaurant Corporation

We had plumbing work done in our kitchen. Could not use our kitchen. I called Arroyo Chop House at 7:54pm. I was asked if they could put me on hold. I remained on hold until 8:27pm. No one every returned to talk to me, they just hang up the phone. Horrible customer service!. My husband and I usually go this restaurants several times a month. Now that we have to deal with COVID-19 restrictions, they don't even have the decency to take our order over the phone or tell us that they are unable to take our order. Thank God for Houstons, who took our order. Left up to Arroyo Chop House we would have no dinner tonight. I will no longer support a restaurant that does not treat me with respect.

These people are arrogant and lacking in community support. I used to go their restaurants several times a month. Then when I asked for a small donation to my nonprofit they gave me a run-around for months, first telling me to call this person or that then telling me to write a letter, then ignoring my request completely. I prefer to go to Villa Sorriso where Jack is supportive, his restaurants have great food, and they're authentic instead of a bunch of phonies.

Funny that the negative reviews have nothing to do with the with the food. Does a restaurant deserve to get a negative review simply because someone called and was put on hold and accidentally forgotten about? How hard is it to call back if an excessive amount of time has passed? One would think that a person would have the intellect to conclude that they had simply been forgotten about. Another person left a negative review because they had asked for money to support a charity and didn't get anywhere with it. Well, as far as supporting the community goes, I know that the Smith Brothers company has held a yearly Food and Wine Festival to support Huntington Hospital for well over 20 years. Just because the reviewer didn't get what they wanted, doesn't mean that the restaurant has bad food and deserves a negative review. With that being said, the food is excellent. They have been I business for well over 30 years so they must be doing something right! This years Food and Wine Festival is on the 30th of October 2022. Hopefully the person who left the negative comments regarding supporting the community is going to attend to show their support for the community! What are the odds? Exactly...
