PIHOP was established in 2006. The original Prayer Room was located next door at 1401 N Lake Ave (which is now the home of the Office and Classroom). Years later PIHOP was able to expand and open the new Prayer Room in this much larger space. The Prayer Room is open for worship and prayer six days a week. There is live worship music being played continually. The community of musicians who play varies from talented amateurs to professional musicians. There is also always a volunteer or staff member "doorkeeping". The Doorkeeper is stationed at a table to the left of the entrance. They supervise the Prayer Room and are available to answer questions and pray for visitors upon request. Update: On 3/30/22 the prayer room got new chairs! Scroll down past the photos of the old chairs to see the new look of the Prayer Room. Fun Facts: -PIHOP is not a church. It is a non-profit para-church organization whose staff and volunteers are representative of somewhere between 80-100 churches in the area. -The PIHOP Prayer Room is closed on Sunday so that the staff and volunteers can all attend service at their own churches. -There is a church that meets in the Prayer Room on Sunday mornings - Frontier Church -A lot of classes and all appointments to receive prayer at PIHOP are free and most have a Zoom option. -Check out the website for more information about PIHOP's hours, classes, and events. pihop.com So, if you want to have a deeper and closer relationship with God, I recommend that you give this place a try soon.
