Horrible costumers service, mean nurses, discriminatory clear. If your not white don't show up here. They only have white staff here.

On March 20th, I was rushed to Desert Regional by paramedics suffering from a serious internal bleed, experiencing significant blood loss. As a snowbird from Canada, I can assure anyone requiring hospital care, Desert Regional did an exceptional job getting me back on my feet. My heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and CNA's from both myself and my husband for their outstanding care during my 5 day stay.

Worst hospital I have been to. I have been dealing with their billing department for 2 years now. They never have answers and will try to charge you for something the lost record of. Hospital service was bad and they are a headache 2 years post visit.

I am posting this review so others can learn from my mistake. I can overlook the age of the facility if the quality of care was there. I was taken by ambulance from desert oasis immediate care. They were great except for their decision to send me there. I arrived to the ER and spent the next 5 hours in ER waiting room. Again that can be expected. I was admitted with an UTI and sepsis. Here is the problem the ER physician never explained why I was being admitted and the plan. I thought wrongly that the hospitalist would do that. But not seeing him for two days I still only picked up tidbits from the nurses about my WBCs and lactic acid. I challange the admin to review my chart to see if an appropriate H&P was ever completed. Over the course of the 5 days I was on a changing list of antibiotics with no explanation, to that end - I asked on my fourth day for my lab tests from the UA to the blood culture. Only to find out that the blood culture was not done but they were going to do it know. Right - after 4 days of antibiotics, I made it out of there with my life by saying I was good. The following day my leg continued to hurt and swell so I went to the ER at Eisenhower. Night and day. Yes I now have a DVT from my last week at regional. This was my first time in a hospital and clearly where you go can put your life at risk. Cannot believe Palm Springs tolerates this Update to review. Three weeks after and completing antibiotics I came down with another UTI. Lab cultures showed Klebsiella a hospital acquired infection. This can be life threatening as my doctors try to sort out if it is ESBL type of Klebsiella. Thank god I am back in the Bay Area under care of Sutter!
