Without hesitation, if one is searching for and wanting, specifically, to support an outstanding small business operation, look no further than DESERT SPRINGS TILE & CARPET on Dinah Shore Drive, Palm Desert. The co-owners, Todd and Francine, have established a remarkable team approach to serving the public. And serve well the public, they do. Todd handles the nuts and bolts of sizing up the space, defining project dimensions, attending to the needs and concerns of the customer and establishing a workable calendar; Francine interacts with potential customers, managing all aspects of the front office. Both are well organized and know their stuff. What they have created together is a well organized, knowledgeable, skilled, talented and PERSONABLE flair.
Both Todd and Francine made us feel comfortable, allowing us time to go through the design selections and deal with what could work best, given our own particular needs. The sense of trust between owner and client never wavered. Their primary concern was to make us happy with both the tile selection and the process of selection, itself. Of course, they wanted our business, but in a larger sense, they were there to make sure everything promised was meeting our expectations. It was not about “selling" so much as a partnering relationship between the owners of this experienced installation team and us, the homeowners. If there was a hitch in the process, they were there; if questions needed to be answered during the installation, they were there; when the project was about to be completed, Todd was there to ask what else needed attention. Todd’s diplomatic/creative/skilled/adept/experienced way of figuring out solutions to obstacles that may have arisen is one of his countless gifts.
A third notable member of the installation team was Sergio, the artisan installer, who with his team tiled the “great room” of our home. His attention to detail when installing each row of tiles was exceptional, the work of a true master professional. Under his guidance were a number of well-disciplined, well-trained crew members who handled their individual responsibilities with care and dedication, respectful of the living space and supportive of the overall goal.
What a team! I could go on, but enough has been shared.
