I brought three rings in to be repaired one was a pearl ring with freshwater pearls the other was an antique with pearls and coral and the last and most expensive ring is a 2 carat emerald ring with diamonds and small emeralds on each side. I assumed he knew what he was doing as we went over each ring and what would need to be done. He destroyed all three rings! The pearl ring instead of attaching the pearl to the prong he glued it between the prong and the other pearl! On the antique ring he fired it so badly that it actually ruined all of the stones and burnt them! He seemingly attached some more gold on it and it just it's absurd! But the worst of all on the emerald all he needed to do was replace two tiny diamonds on one side and rather than do that he destroyed that side of the ring. The emerald is black and not even resembling a stone and the "diamonds" are inset inside and can't even see them because he gouged out the side of the ring and it is now basically scrap metal. I actually wondered if he would have replaced the Emerald with a cheaper stone but I doubt he could've done that without it looking like he had! What's worse is he made me pay for the least ruined two rings ( which I will go to the bank tomorrow and file a claim on) and admitting he did a bad job still would not let me have my rings until I did so. This jeweler is no jeweler this person seems to maybe even enjoy destroying our precious memories!!! I would let my granddaughter work on my jewelry before I would let him do anything more - I wouldn't trust him to even change a battery in my watch!! Please go ANYWHERE ELSE.

He destroyed my wife’s bracelet! The chain broke on her bracelet and it was too small for me to fix. Instead of putting two links together he pulled the mounting hoop off of the knot, attached the chain, and them welded the hoop back on the knot. During all of this he deformed the knot and ruined the bracelet. It was a simple link to link fix that didn’t require any welding. When I confronted him about what he did he explained that he didn’t know the material was “hollow” and it melted quickly. After he kept trying to explain how metal works I informed him that I’m in the aerospace tubing manufacturing industry and know all about hollow metal material and how it reacts to heat. Then I showed him that the material was not hollow but formed thin strips of silver formed into a knot. “I did not know it was hollow so it damaged quickly”. I said a professional jeweler would assume any material they worked on was very delicate as to ensure they didn’t cause any damage instead of wrenching on it like they thought it was something else. Please don’t go there. I tried to be a nice husband. And surprise my wife with a repaired bracelet, but instead I come home with and irreplaceable gift destroyed. FYI, they moved across the street from 4225 Oceanside Blvd. Same people, same “service”. Looks like he is more suited to being a pawn shop.
