Greg's Custom Painting

I did not have the same experience as the last reviewer. Greg came to my home, provided an estimate, spoke with me personally on a regular basis about repairs, etc. Our home needed some wood repairs, we live in the Farms in Mooresville, where they used what is essentially Cardboard for accent wood. This all had to be removed and replaced, its expensive. Greg gave me an up front price, which went up due to the significant number of replacement boards, but he communicated with me the entire time. Once the job was done, it took him a couple of days to come out and review the work, but he did and brought a crew to clean up. The house looks great, they certainly did an excellent job and i would hire them again in a second.

I use to like Greg’s for attention to detail, superior quality paints suggested, and dealing with the owner directly, and owner follow up. Since Greg hired job managers, something changed. This last job I never got a formal walk through of work like I once got with owner. The front door, exterior crawl door, steet facing privacy fence never got painted as contracted. I emailed Greg on these issues and never got a response. Greg could have responded to the email and made things right but the check was cashed and he doesn’t care about checking on customer experience anymore. Prices were above average and no longer worth it.

We interviewed three painting companies to paint the exterior of our home and decided to use Greg. The crew came out as promised and we are pleased w the result. However, Greg did not come out, except to give us a quote. He did not inspect the finished job, nor was he concerned whether or not we were satisfied. We had other interior work which we wanted done, but after multiple phone calls to Greg and no response, we gave up and went w one of the companies we initially interviewed. (Consequently, the interior work, completed by the other company was very good. The owner was here daily to inspect the work and to be sure we were satisfied.) We would not use Greg’s painting in the future because of the manner in which we were treated after the job was concluded. There was absolutely no follow up on his behalf, no “thank you”, and he sent his wife to fetch the check. Very bad business practice.

Greg's Custom painting did an excellent job repairing and painting our ceilings. The painters were very friendly and respectful. They did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves and made sure we were satisfied with their work. We couldn't have asked for more.
