image Although EFNC has many beneficial programs, it's disappointing and wrong that not one person on staff at EFNC has Epilepsy nor a child with Epilepsy. A former seasoned middle-aged staff member with Epilepsy was just let go and replaced by a person not in any way directly affected by Epilepsy. Furthermore, social media volunteer interns with Epilepsy and volunteers with Epilepsy in the office have been let go over time. Currently, there is a search for a " social media volunteer intern," however, it's doubtful that candidate will have had a direct connection to Epilepsy, considering the current direction of EFNC. This needs to be an organization that includes those with Epilepsy on its' staff as well as providing its' volunteers with Epilepsy and interns with purpose and gaining skills. The current website is not accurate; the one person who has Epilepsy, actually is not on staff, and that needs to be taken down. It's difficult to fully support an organization that pads the pockets of a CEO and a staff that has no direct connection to Epilepsy. Having an interest in the disorder is commendable and compassionate, however not the equivalent of one living with it. Current staff running the organization consists of younger women; no middle-aged women, no men, and not one person with Epilepsy; all under the direction of one male CEO, who appears to do the hiring and letting go of personnel. Strange.
