Lyft let me rent a car on the weekend but the rental office is closed Saturday and Sunday so theres no way to pick up the car because theres literally no staff there. The security guard was helpful but Lyft should not let you rent a car if you cant actually pick it up?? Thank god I got refunded. I went to Avis in Uptown Oakland instead and got a car in 5 minutes. Lyft rental was a total waste of my time.

Up and until today Lyft has been great for me. I use them for rides and to rent cars for personal use. Today they sent me texts with no explanation saying that they were cancelling my rental reservation on the day I was to pick it up because they were too busy which is just bullshite, I had that reservation for five days and what the hell is a reservation for if not to have a car waiting even when they are busy? The problem with Lyft is their non existing customer service. Yes I'm being one of those people who writes a review when something has gone wrong but they could have made this so much easier if they just answered my questions honestly instead of saying, "We reserve the right to privacy in regards to our business practices and overall operation." What garbage! I used to think Lyft was dependable, now I know Lyft is not dependable and doesn't care about it's customers and will hide behind obscure corporate ULAs to avoid speaking to their customers when something goes wrong.

Unclear processes, waited over an hour to pick up the car, had to ask multiple times for directions on where to go/who to talk to.
