Swim With Gale

Learning to swim ranks among the most crucial life skills I wished to impart to my children early on, recognizing the paramount importance of water safety for their well-being. This past summer marked my 4-year-old's third consecutive year of swim lessons, and his first experience with Gale. Given his sensory challenges, this year introduced the additional element of wearing earplugs due to ear tubes. To my immense surprise and excitement, this was the breakthrough year where he not only adapted but began genuinely swimming and reveling in the experience after just a few lessons. I attribute this entirely to Gales approach, and the strong connection he established with her. On the other hand, my 2-year-old, an avid water enthusiast, formed an instant connection with Gale. Every morning on our way to school, he eagerly pleaded to visit Gale's house to go swimming. Without a doubt, he has evolved into a little fish, consistently refining his skills with each lesson. Gale's remarkable ability to connect with both my children has been truly extraordinary. Witnessing their growing confidence, advancing swimming proficiency, enhanced water safety awareness, and benefiting from the structured expectations she imparts have surpassed all my expectations. Recognizing this, I extended their enrollment through the end of the season, ensuring their continued growth and learning. Furthermore, they are already enrolled for the entire upcoming swim season. I cannot recommend Gale enoughher expertise as a swim teacher is unparalleled. I actively share my positive experiences with anyone who will listen, emphasizing how fortunate they would be to secure a spot on her schedule!

We could not be happier with our experience with Gale! Reach out and commit early, she books up fast and with good reason! We started a year ago when our daughter was 18mos old. We were so happy with the sessions last year that we came back for multiple sessions this 2023 swim season and are ready to sign up for every session in 2024! Gale is the perfect balance of kind, compassionate, firm, and fun. Gale meets every child where they are at every class. She pushes our daughter to do her best, not to give up, but never asks more than she is capable. Gale understands that kids are kids and that no day is the same. There have been classes that our daughter was more tired, or less focused, or more obstinate, and Gale has always been encouraging. When our daughter makes activity requests for the class Gale always incorporates what our daughter wants to do, while keeping the lesson on track. Gale knows if the lesson needs to end a little early because our daughter needs it and when our daughter is just pushing boundaries and how to refocus her. We are appreciative of Gale's advice as to how to continue to advance our daughter's skills at home, and her compassion that life with a 2yo is hard and we as parents often don't do our suggested homework (which is only something like "have her blow bubbles in the bath" - don't think when we say homework we mean anything hard or time consuming ). Our daughter is completely comfortable in the water and has gained an incredible amount of confidence over the last year and that is in no small part to Gale's contribution. We feel comfortable that if the worst should happen and our little girl falls in a swimming pool, she has the knowledge and skills to keep herself safe. Next steps that Gale has started, while continuing to reinforce the skills, always, is the foundation of swimming. We don't know how Gale has the patience and stamina to spend all day in the pool with kids and run the business too! We are very appreciative we found Swim with Gale!

If you're looking for the best swimming lessons in Southern California - or anywhere - look no further than Swim With Gale. I would highly recommend this program to anyone desiring to have their child be safe and happy in the water. Gale is an incredible teacher, and also just an all-around incredible person. My 4-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter have been taking swim lessons with Gale since last fall, and I have seen their swimming skills and confidence (not just in swimming, but in all aspects of life) grow by leaps and bounds. We have done other swim schools in the past, but none of them hold a candle to Swim With Gale. Gale's method of instruction is full of patience, care, encouragement, fun, and no-nonsense - a perfect mix for dealing with the daily mood changes of the average kid as well as gaining their trust and respect. When my son or daughter has an "off" day, or a little setback, Gale always knows just how to get them back on track. She works with each child at their own level, and creates a nurturing environment to help conquer fears and inspire students to give their all. My kids are always excited to go for their lessons with Gale, and it's usually hard to get them out of the pool when time is up. On a personal level, Gale is considerate, knowledgeable, generous, and kind. Our whole family cherishes the time we get to spend with her each week. And her motto has become our family mantra - not just for swimming, but for all challenges in life - "If you try, you can do it!" Swim With Gale deserves 10 stars! Thank you, Gale!

I am happy to share such a positive experience I had learning to swim with Gale! Before meeting Gale I hated water, more so I hated my face in the water. I had some unconscious fear of the water, and Gale really challenged me on overcoming that fear. Gale was by far my safety net, during this whole process! She motivated me every session, and has so much patience. As an adult beginner swimmer, I was embarrassed.. but Gale really made me feel so comfortable! Gales teaching teaching technique is powerful, the way she elaborates and explains.. perfect I am recommending any and everyone I know to Gale! I truly adore and enjoy Gale! I 100% recommend her to anyone young and old, her place is a safe place for all stages of swimming! I am so excited to continue my summer lessons with Gale, because her yes you can attitude, will have me ready for surf lessons and beach days soon! And to end this in Gale Fashion Remember we swim on top of the water and if you understand that, youre ready to go!
