Easily the worst experience ever had buying coffee. Friends and I pulled into the lot because Starbucks was full and I enjoy supporting local businesses that challenge the corporate model. We ordered 3 medium brewed coffees, two regular and one decaf, all with cream. The owner proceeded to inform us that we would all be getting large americanos, since they don't serve brewed coffee. I pointed to the hand-written menu behind the proprietor's head advertising brewed coffee and simply placed my order again. The two girls behind the counter stared blankly at their fearless leader who in turn ignored our request for a basic cup of coffee and proceeded to explain that each large americano would include 4 shots of espresso and that this was better for us. After clarifying one last time that we just wanted two regulars and a decaf, all medium, the only American on the payroll explained that they could only make espresso based drinks and took our order. All our drinks arrived without cream, and the decaf coffee was almost certainly regular, as our friend is autistic and is very sensitive to caffeine. I came back up to the counter to request some half and half for my americano. Instead of handing me some milk to add myself, the owner grabbed my cup without asking and dumped out half the contents and poured the dregs of an old carton into my cup. With a smile the owner handed me my now-lukewarm cup of coffee and said, "sorry I don't understand." When it came time to pay for our experience here, I presented my credit card and watched helplessly as the owner and his two employees fumbled with their credit card reader. While they attempted to charge our second card, the owner asked us, "why aren't you interested in our pastries??" Confused, we then had to defend our lack of interest in his selection of safeway muffins. Finally we walked out, wished we hadn't paid and decided to warn our fellow man of BRB Coffee's desperate incompetence.
