Lisa Esposito Design

We hired Lisa to create and install a landscape design for a portion of our front yard. She was wonderful to work with--professional, extremely knowledgeable about regional plants, and personable. Her design was lovely and water-wise and blended beautifully with what we already had in place. Her follow-up was excellent. We have had tons of compliments from our neighbors and friends. We highly recommend her!!!

Lisa has done two projects for us, a huge kitchen/dining remodel and master bath.  We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend Lisa for any project, indoor or out.  Lisa is talented and creative.  She took a small ordinary tract house and made it more beautiful and functional than anything we could imagine.  She really listened to what we wanted and came through with a great design.  She is professional and honest, she came by daily to check on the work that was being done, she was always available via phone or email when we had questions. Choosing Lisa to help us with out home was one of the best things we have ever done.

We moved from a turn key home in Valencia to a 1950's Pasadena home that had been gutted and remodeled.  The past three years we've continued to find ways to enhance our home.   We had two projects in mind.  1)  the backyard needed new drainage and a new look for entertaining.  2)  the master suite needed to be expanded with a larger master bathroom.  Lisa and Nicole walked us through examples and ideas, looked through my Pinterest boards for ideas and asked for all our wish list items.  Something to remember is that this process takes time.  Lisa was up front they had projects in motion and set expectation of the timeframe.  Within a couple of weeks she drew up designs with a few options of what our new backyard and master suite would look like.  They provided color swatches, tile, stone, marble options to give us ideas.  What we appreciated is that Lisa took our wish list and turned it into reality.  We ended up not proceeding as we are moving, however we kept the design boards for the future owners to have as a reference.  My advice when remodeling is to be honest, candid and transparent with your designer so the partnership can be at its best from beginning to end.  "With money and efficacy anything is possible"

I originally got Lisa's name through a friend. I called Lisa and she came out and we discussed my needs and her services regarding a design for my back yard.. She was honest, forthright and a pleasure to deal with. Any issues I might have had were  always met with a sincere desire to clarify or make it right. She  designed and drew up plans and oversaw the whole project until its completion. My yard is spectacular and I couldn't be more thrilled. I had several plants initially die (they often do that when first planted) and she immediately came out and took care of it.  I have, unfortunately, dealt with a a number of really poor designers, landscapers, etc. so I was leery. She immediately set us at ease and I knew we would be well taken care of and we were. My best recommendation that I can give  is that I will tell my friends. I recommended her to 2 of my dear friends and both were extremely pleased with the work done and the customer service they were provided.  She is extremely talented at her craft and a joy to work with! Highly recommend.

I'm thinking these reviews must be from friends, especially the one that says "Honest". My experience is Lisa is anything but honest. I spoke with her on the phone, she said she could come by for an initial consultation. She informed me that the charge for that would be the $175 an hour she charges for all projects, and for that amount she would take some pictures and give me some initial ideas on design. She did come by, spent about 20 minutes  (half of which was in the backyard), took pictures, asked for her check and left saying she would email me shortly. After a couple of weeks (not really shortly) she sent me a an email that contained her rate sheet. Nothing else. So $175 to tell me how much she would charge me. When I requested a refund stating that no ideas were forthcoming, rather than do the correct (and easy) business practice of returning the fee, she sent an email saying how she had listened to my needs and was happy to charge for more. I'm fairly easy to please and she could have avoided this rotten review by just making good on what I felt was a bad deal and (according to her, miscommunication) but apparently whatever "reputation" she has isn't worth $175. Which should give you an idea of what her talent is worth as well.In my business I do whatever is necessary to make the client happy, and if I can't do that I don't charge. Clearly I've been doing things wrong!
