To clarify, the company's response is disingenuous. My rating in based primarily on the poor installation, several damages to interior drywall as well as exterior stucco. In some instances I witnessed the two helpers whom I was told, were trainees, using plumber's pliers hitting the aluminum frame of the old windows instead of the proper tools, damaging the walls. In another incident, the lead installer improperly installed the locking mechanism of a sliding door blaming the manufacturer and drilling additional unnecessary holes in the frame, which I discovered later when the manufacture representative came to address a couple of warranty issues. In all, I documented reported about 29 cases of installation problems including the damage a worker caused to a new sliding door screen (tore the screen) and an awning we had in our back yard which they did not report and left for us to discover later (very disconcerting). They also left some large windows uncleaned and with suction cup impressions all over. Finally what was most upsetting was when called multiple times for the Manager, Jesse, and was told by the receptionist that "he really wants to speak to you and will call you back", he never called back to follow-up to find out if a) all problems and damages were seen to our satisfaction, and b} the warranty issues were addressed and resolved. He never called back! This was a considerable investment for us and we chose the company on a recommendation. Therefore it was doubly disappointing with all these problems and having installer trainees not experienced enough for the retrofit work. Moreover, they promised us three days of work, yet, it took two weeks and then they had to return another week to finish. The warranty issue took another month and half to complete. We had several doors installed this week. The guys came by first thing in the morning and got busy changing out the doors in the kitchen to patio and the master bedroom. The quality of the doors are top of the line and our installers knew exactly what they were doing. Did I tell you how clean they are? They are always running the vacuum to make sure they don't mess up your home...We are so pleased with their work and the cost of the job was reasonable. Thank you to each person who helped bring this job together to the end. Many times you find a contractor who starts a job - but doesn't finish - we did not have that issue.
