Something happened to my original review, so here's my recap on my past 3 years at Brookside Park: + The management is responsive and polite, I've never had any issues with the leasing staff. Elizabeth is super communicative and helpful in answering any questions you might have. I've seen a few bad reviews for Tim, but he is long gone now. + Noise was an issue during the remodel, but now it's quite peaceful and the neighbors are mostly quiet. Parking inside the complex is limited, but there's plenty of street parking with no restrictions from the city. + The neighborhood is lovely, there is plenty of things within walking distance and the main downtown train station is only a 10 minute bike ride away. + Having your own washer/dryer is undeniably nice. While the specific model chosen isn't the best at cleaning/drying, being able to do laundry without leaving your apartment unit is so much nicer than hauling everything down to a laundry room and paying per load. Despite the benefits, there are quite a few painful drawbacks to living here: - I've never experienced Silverfish until I moved in here. They are very creepy looking bugs that will literally scurry up your walls. They are almost roach like and impossible to get completely rid of. - The plumbing situation is terrible, they have low-flow fixtures running on very low pressure so everything involving water takes foreverrrrr to finish. When I started living here, the hot water was barely warm. They've fixed it somewhat, but it still is well below 120. Be warned that there's been multiple times where the water was completely shut off with no notice, one time it was off for almost 24 hours. This is my biggest complaint about living here. - The walls are pretty thin here, my sister is quite loud compared to myself and I can hear everything coming from her room. It's not the worst of the worse, but it's definitely far from perfect. - There is yard work every Wednesday starting at 7:50 am, and they do the next-door property on Thursdays, even during record-setting thunderstorms. If you're a night owl, be prepared to have your sleep interrupted every Wednesday morning. - While this place is a decent 1980's apartment complex, the prices they charge here are very high for the actual quality of the apartment, and is only really worth maybe 60% of what they charge in rent. While my overall experince here has been pleasant, I can no longer justify the cost of living here and will be moving out when my lease ends.

I have been living here for 3 years now and i absolutely love it. The office staff is very helpful , whenever I have a question about any concern Elizabeth is quick to help out and guide me through. Maintenance is also quick to handle any service requests I submit. Plenty of Parking throughout the community and the trees and landscape here makes this place feel very relaxing.
