I needed my CEUs and called off and on for about 2 weeks , mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a message, finally some lady answered and I told her what I needed she told me to come back in January, but i needed them for this year, she yelled at me then hung up on me, so rude .

Best place to get to know about cna and Lydia Pena is lying, they do the best they can do make you satisfied with your program and the instructors are really Nice!

Needed some information about the CNA program and waited for the person in-charge for almost 2 hours with no positive result and I left no so happy.

I completed the CNA class here in September of 2017. We had a good group of students of very diverse cultural backgrounds. Julies classes were integral in preparation for the state exam. Lots of practice and hands on deck type of learning environment before we even hit the clinical facility. Joe had a lot of real life examples of how things might be once you are on the field and working. He lead us in the clinicals, observed us and gave constructive feedback and suggestions. He really had our back in and empowered us to take pride in our work as CNAs as our clinicals were conducted at the same time and same facility as a very pricy RN school students were overheard saying "they are only CNAs" towards our group. After we were finished with the class we had a little more than a month till our state exam. Some of us had concerns that this time gap was too long to still remember everything we were taught. I was grateful that we were welcomed to come by the school on designated days to go over all the material and practice the skills. A lot of us took advantage of this. One day Joe dedicated the whole class to every single student practice the vital signs on each other and at the end he tested every student. On the day of the exam I was nervous but confident. The written part was exactly what I expected. For the skills part I got lucky because my assigned partner was a girl I worked very well with during clinicals. We both made a couple of very minor mistakes. Even though the state board lady seemed very strict and intimidating, she gave us both an opportunity to recover from the mistake immediately by asking a question like "is there anything you are forgetting?" We both passed. Out of 30 students from the Moreno Valley campus, I believe, only 2 people failed. Overall, I believe the college prepared me very well not only for the exam but for the health care field job. We were able to get our American Red Cross first aid and CPR certification conveniently at the college several days after the exam. I have met some awesome people in my class and was lucky that everyone was serious and determined to succeed. You all played a role in my positive experience. And special thanks to Julie for keeping it entertaining and interesting.
