Revival Ice Cream

There is a line out the door all the time, now I know why. Holy cow Batman that's fantastic ice cream, and I've eaten ice cream all over God's green earth.

Revival is worth the wait. The bees knees is incredible. We were also blown away by the coffee blondie. The cones are delicious as well.

I don't understand the hype. Yes the ingredients are local and gluten free etc. and service is friendly - that's really fantastic . But the consistency and flavor of the ice cream itself are lacking. My partner and I tried 4 flavors over 2 days (bees knees, eucalyptus, coffee caramel, and peanut butter chocolate). They're all right but not great so I wouldn't go back. The flavors aren't rich and the mouth feels is lacking - it's all underwhelming. The cones themselves are underwhelming as well - not memorable, no great crunch. And I know it's possible to make wonderful gluten free cones because I've had them elsewhere. I actually got a smoothie bowl a few blocks away and enjoyed it way more than this ice cream. I don't get the hype. [EDIT: Note to owner given prickliness at my review: If the store allowed customers to try flavors before purchasing, I wouldn't have purchased at all and thus wouldn't have a reason to leave a negative review. I did speak to a team member about the flavors to get information and expressed disappointment and confusion since I couldn't try them (one answer I got was: "it's a slushy consistency" how is this possible with ice cream?) so I just got a cone. And the next day my partner got a cone. We came twice and tried 4 flavors. All tasted average to me so 3 stars seems fair.]
