Union Bank

I have put off writing negative reviews for this specific branch (Milpitas) for a while because I'd always thought that those unpleasant experiences were likely anomalies and hopefully things will improve. However, today's experience was the last straw. The male staff member who 'helped' me did not greet me, did not say a single word to me nor did he acknowledge my presence. He was assisting me to access my safe deposit box but all this time he did not say a single word. I handed my key to him to lock the safe box and he just took it without saying anything. Even when I thanked him, he did not acknowledge nor look at me nor even say bye. He is by far the most rude service person I have experienced in a while. Extremely unprofessional which makes me wonder why would Union Bank tarnish its reputation by allowing this behavior from a customer service rep. This is the not the first time from this customer service rep. Every time my wife, friends or I visit Union Bank Milpitas, we always hope he wouldn't be the one servicing us. I have been a Union Bank customer at Milpitas when it first opened decades ago and have seen the service deteriorate from 5 stars to a non-existent star (if I can give it). Please, Union Bank, if you are wondering why there are so few customers at your branch, just go visit Citibank across the street. The difference in service there compared to yours is like day and night.

I've been banking with Union Bank for years now. I recently moved to the bay area from Orange County and decided to visit my local Union Bank branch. When I was being helped I was being questioned like if I was going to pull off a scam or something. I wouldn't have minded the questions because of security protocol but they asked some really personal questions which I thought was unnecessary. I went from feeling comfortable with Union Bank to just complete awkwardness and unwanted. Not sure if I'd visit this branch again, or bank with Union for that matter.

Came to open an account. They said that I need to make an appointment to do that. The staff are the worst I have ever experienced with banks. She acted like we owe her something.
