I had a little argument with my last month when she complained of a strange scent in the room, something only she was aware of. Since I couldn’t really smell anything, I neglected it until it was too late. Turns out we had a hidden leakage that was causing the strange smell, and by the time we realized it, our walls had changed color and the smell had reached every nook and corner. After telling me how I should’ve had paid attention to her, my wife suggested that we call a plumber. However, since I am a DIY guy, I decided to give it a try myself. I figured the smell was due to a leak, but since it was hidden deep into the walls, there wasn’t anything I could do about it. I called my friend who is a plumber and explained the situation to him. She also agreed to send a representative to look into the matter the same day. The person arrived within a couple of hours after the call. He gave us a rough estimate and clarified everything in clear detail about what they would do, including major restoration. Emergency Flood Team Marina Del Rey CLEANING & RESTORATION - What a GREAT company to use. My hot water heater went on the blink on 5/7/17 around 11:00 PM. I had a small river of water on my guest bathroom floor. I thought the commode was leaking so I shut the water off, mopped it up, put towels down on the floor. The next moring the towels were all soaked again. I could not figure out what the problem was since I had shut the water off to the commode. I then went into the bedroom next to the bathroom, and the carpet was all wet by the closet door and upon opening the closet door that floor was a small river of water too. Oh, no.....I knew then it was the water heater. I, immediately called a plumber (Sunday) he came right out (emergency) and assessed the damage. On Monday he brought a new water heater and installed it. This is where Emergency Flood Team Marina Del Rey CAME IN. The plumber then informed me I would/should have a restoration place come out and look at the damage becasue they work independently of each other. He then gave me a writing pen with Emergency Flood Team Marina Del Rey's name and phone number on it. Since I had no idea whom to call, I looked Emergency Flood Team Marina Del Rey up online and liked everything I read about them. I, called them and spoke with Nina, and we set up an appointment. When the technician came out from Emergency Flood Team Marina Del Rey he assessed the damage (I had sneaky water behind the walls and behind floor board in the closet area) that you could not see plus I already had some mold growing on the wall. He did what had to be done with the big turbo blow dryers, etc and after 3 days of drying out the walls, a piece of my closet wall with the mold had to be cut out as well as the floor board. Then they make another appointment and someone else comes out and puts the wall and floor board all back together again. When they are all finished you would never know it all happened in the first place. Emergency Flood Team Marina Del Rey worked with me in a very timely manner and it was explained to me exactly what they were going to do and why they were doing it. I, was given an estimate of the charges and was told all they did was included in the estimate price. There was no stone left unturned and no hidden surprise charges. And the best part of all was the cleaning tech. that came out to my house was so polite. He was just the nicest man to do business with. I would definitely use this company again (hopefully won't have to :) and I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends. I cannot say enough about the professional way everything was handled from Nina, in the office to the tech. that came to my house, to the timely manner everything was started and completed. Thank you Emergency Flood Team Marina Del Rey....this business is ********** (10 stars) in my book. PS. I have home owner's insurance that paid for all of it. If you do not have insurance it can be expensive especially if you least expect it.
