Sea Pines Lodge

We had a really disappointing (and gross) experience here. We arrived later one night (around 9pm) to find hairs in both the queen beds in our room. The front desk stated no one was available to change the sheets and so moved us to another room. In that room I found hairs all over the pillow of one of the beds. The front desk person stated that they "send their sheets out" for washing. Given this, I do not think they are washing sheets between stays. There is no way hair like that stays on sheets when sending them out to be washed at facilities. Sea Pines gave us a full refund and we left that night and found another place to stay. It was disappointing and honestly just gross and left a really bad taste for us about this place and how they run their business. The front desk person did not seem horrified that we had been in two rooms with unwashed sheets She just casually said "oh I'm sorry I'll make sure to tell the manager" and basically shrugged it off. Besides the egregious unwashed sheets issue, the rooms are dingy and in need of serious updates. I thought this place would have "rustic charm" but honestly it was just sad and dilapidated. the toilet seat was chipped, and the room just looked old and sad. I'd pick another place to stay if you're coming to the area, and don't let the word "resort" fool you, its not. Not by a long shot.

We didn't stay at the lodge but we are Harvest Hosts guests at the golf course. Great 9 hole course, fantastic views of the Laguna, super nice and friendly staff.

Amazing little place to stay and enjoy the coast. Great service, clean rooms, restaurant food was great, live music most nights.
