I was just denied care here because their office lacks the proper equipment to treat people of different sizes. I was strung along for months with misleading information only to be told that I cant be treated there because their BED for procedures has a weight limit of 250lbs. This is medical discrimination of the highest order and I will be pursuing legal action.

As a queer couple, we needed assistance with starting a family. We absolutely love CARE for the Bay Area and the consistent high-quality care we have received since day one. Thanks to Dr. Purcell and her staff, we have one child and are working on number 2. This clinic affirms and dignifies LGBTQ+ and modern families. Update 9/28/21: we had our second CARE baby :)

Dr Purcell and the CARE team are very kind and responsive. In an emotional and tough season, they made us feel like there was hope for a baby at the end of this process. And we did end up with one healthy embryo that is now our young son. However, it took 3 IUI and 4 IVF cycles and a lot of heartbreak to get there. Not to mention spending thousands of dollars each cycle. After speaking with two other fertility doctors and doing another cycle with another fertility office I have learned that Dr Purcell uses old school methodologies that dragged out our journey more than necessary. We could have gotten many more embryos if she had used a different medication regiment and done all ICSI fertilization. Additionally, it is just Dr Purcell in the practice. Which is great for more personal care. But at our new fertility office there are several doctors. Which in hindsight is preferable because if you have a complicated case the doctors can bounce ideas off of one another and come up with the best possible plan for you versus just one doctors opinion.

I came here about 6 years ago for two rounds of IUI and a full round of IVF without any success. My whole life I have had regular periods and no major pain on my cycles so there were no red flags. After receiving treatment here and still not being able to get pregnant it didn't make any sense to me. After about 1.5 years at this office, we were left with no answers. I called the office and asked for the next steps and they said you have to pay to speak to the doctor on the next steps or we can schedule you for another round of ivf...I was shocked that with all this time with this office, there was no review of my files or what can be done the next time to achieve a pregnancy.Fast forward to 2020, I decided to try to take advantage of the free consultation at other IVF offices. A few doctors reviewed my file and asked why the dr Purcell gave me this dosage and if anyone had ever mentioned endo/pcos to me. I was surprised to be diagnosed with endo and pcos. I had a laparoscopic surgery and went through my second round of IVF at CCRM. I got pregnant for the first time and now I am a mother to a baby boy.
