To provide context, I am a consultant specializing in hospitality advisory, development, organizational improvement, training and analytic solutions. I employed AnimationFest November 2019 to produce an "Explainer Video" that would be presented to one of my clients. Explicit information, timelines and expectations were conveyed. I needed the video before the end of 2019 and I was assured by my salesman and project manager that this was feasible and attainable. Several back and forth communications ensued that lead me to believe I chose the correct organization. On December 17th, I received a message from my project manager stating that everything should be complete by December 20th, I was very excited. December 20th came and went, no updates. I emailed my project manager on December 23rd and 27th without response. I called the support line on December 31st and spoke to a general phone support associate who stated that my project manager went on holiday for two weeks. I was disappointed to learn that I now will not be able to use the presentation I paid for. Not being able to present this video negatively impacted the perception of my consulting firm. The intangible and tangible value of this negative impact may lead to be substantial. I finally heard from my project manager on January 2nd when she asked what voice-over choice I liked. Since then, no updates. I have emailed several members of the organization 5 times within the past two weeks without a response. I called the support line again on 1/13/2020 and spoke with Ryan about a refund. Ryan assured me that I would receive a call on 1/14/2020 about my refund. Again, no response on 1/14/2020. I am not only disappointed that AnimationFeast took my money and did not deliver the product I paid for but I am also very upset that their inability to perform and communicate within simple business expectations and etiquette has soiled my consulting firms reputation with one of my largest clients. I wholeheartedly dislike having to be a consumer the writes a negative online review. I believe that these matters are to be handled privately out of respect to all parties. Mistakes and business challenges are part of any operation, even world-class organizations. It is how the opportunities are handled and the lessons learned that teach us some of our greatest lessons and guide improvement. At this moment, I find myself taking action in ways that hopefully bring results. Unfortunately for AnimationFeast, a simple refund may not suffice in light of everything.
