Back again this time for the wonderful "chicken" mole. B-) great food and great service on both visits so far. And the menu is quite eclectic for a number of tastes.

First of all, I like the name of this place. Cinnamon means health and in Ayurveda it is used to treat many common ailments; diabetes, indigestion, colds and more. The restaurant and the herb share very healing properties. The exceptionally warm staff treat people like they are family, which creates a sense that you are eating at your auntee's house. If you're sick, the Cinnamon Lady will brew you tea to make you well. If you're unhappy, she will tell you a story to make you smile. If you're hungry, she will stuff you like a little piglet full of delicious tasty treats, sumptuous entrees (you must try the Mole!!!!!!!!) and great drink options, a Quessadilla (oink oink!) and GUACAMOLE that is TO DIE FOR (I could truly eat nothing else ...). And if you aren't squeaking and squealing with delight afterward there's dessert! Nothing vegan should be as delicious as the Cinnamon Lady's home made pies. NOTHING. They are sinful and decadent, yet light and flavorful. I would eat the whole thing AND lick the pan if it weren't for the mess of calories each little sliver must contain. All this and so much more keep me coming back time after time, year after year.

this was a truly disappointing experience. a few weeks ago, i sat down in an empty place, yet service was not attentive. my menu was dirty, the first bad sign of several. food wasn't bad, nor were the choices; however, i ate my wedge-cut fries without my usual catsup because the plastic bottle, nearly empty, had a really crusty tip--yes, that was just too disgusting to use. to top it off, the servers were much happier to chat with each other at the counter rather than check on my meal or drink refills. again, it took forever to get my check because of slow service. the rating in the window was a "B" and i see why: dirty, dirty, dirty. if they'd only pay attention to these crucial details, they'd be onto something since there's hardly anything other than mexican food in this neighborhood.
