I had the pleasure to being tutored by Ilan for a better half my formative years. Ilan was always professional and helpful. I highly recommend working with him. He was great. Always. Thanks Ilan.

During the number of years I used to go to Ilan Basha for tutoring, in West LA, the is back when his "tutoring site" was his own tiny one room apartment. Half the time I brought my more advanced Physics, statistics, calculus, and advanced mathematical work for him to help me, he had literally no idea what to do, or could offer any help on those problems. I guess they were too advanced him... but you shouldn't be taking our cash and checks then, Ilan, if you don't know how to help with those type of homework assignments. He readily took the money Probably my worst memory of Ilan's "tutoring" was when I told him (I was an undergrad Ucla at the time, pre-med) that I was working at Ivy West, which is an SAT tutoring company, he promptly retorted: "what? Answering phones?" ... Ugh, no Ilan, I actually have a brain despite what you obviously think, I tutor kids for both the Math and English portions of the SATs because I got super high scores on both Math and Verbal SATs, without one minute of studying. The fact that Ilan would dismiss my intelligence, without even a thought, was really off-putting. I made it into 21 medical schools that year, chose my fav, a "nationwide top 10" medical school in sunny Southern California, and the rest is history. I've been a Ucla physician ever since. But his overt passage of judgement, his lack of seeing some of his clients are SMART (ooh, imagine that!), and for VOICING IT to me makes me give this jerk and his company a giant thumbs down.

Ilan really is as good as it gets. He's been my tutor through highschool, college, and now graduate school. Ilan is very passionate about teaching and genuinely has his students' best interests at heart. When you are worried, he is worried. For example, I recently called him, late at night, in the middle of a timed test I was taking online. I was completely unprepared and freaking out. Without any hesitation, Ilan rushed from his home back to the office to skype with me and get the test done. I can not thank him enough.

Wow, Ilan is probably one of the best tutors they are. He loves teaching and that is one of his passions in life. I've been going to him for a while and I can't even begin saying how much I learned, I would really recommend people to try it because the way he teaches is amazing.
