World of Vintage T-Shirts

Stopped by while out in Fairfax and had a great time browsing and checking out a solid inventory of interesting shirts. Had a great conversation with the owner and staff about shirts, music, the store, and just life in general :) Purchased 4 shirts, $215 total. What counts as vintage? Retro =/= Vintage. Retro is imitative of a style, fashion, or design from the recent past. True vintage shirts need to be at least 20 years old. It's 2023, vintage shirts are now from 2002 and older. Other factors include single stitch vs double stitch, material, and where the shirt was produced (USA vs Europe, etc) but more importantly (to me at least) is the sense of nostalgia and timelessness. Price. The best vintage is $0. You can find good vintage for as little as $1 but we can't expect thrift store pricing all the time and you can't expect it at a vintage store, they are not the same. It's difficult to find good quality vintage items in thrift stores these days. Vintage shops have explicitly sourced, curated, and cleaned their inventory. How much you're willing to spend is how much you should spend. Inventory. Clean and well organized with a wide range of subject matter. I'm not a vintage tee connoisseur but still prefer real vintage to mass produced vintage-like shirts. I just like cool shirts and this place delivers.

I tried to stop by today because there was a t-shirt in their window that caught my eye. They have their hours posted on Google, their website and on Yelp as being open at 11 AM. I am busy in the afternoon so I thought I would swing by this morning as I had the time. I arrived around 11:15/11:20 and they were closed - lights off, security gate in front of the front doors, etc. Not sure why the hours are advertised as such if they are not even going to be open at 11 AM. I don't have the time and energy to be trying to follow up with the store to see when they are in fact, open.
