Inaka is a very pure experience that is terrific for those looking for clean, macrobiotic food. However, taste-wise, it can be a little lacking since it is purely about the ingredients which seemingly doesn't always the job here. The experience is soothing with some light incense, pure white walls and a very quiet experience. On a Friday night, it wasn't too busy. Love how they are mindful about the drought as well and makes sure you want the water before pouring it for you. Food-wise, you have a lot of traditional Japanese items on here including yakisoba and some pure Japanese ingredients which comes in plates like the pickled cabbage to kale. I got the yakisoba and barley tea with ginger (which was about $15). Also got a miso soup which was another $3. The miso soup was good and hearty - reminded me of a chicken noodle soup with a miso flavor. The yakisoba was well-cooked and had a healthy taste. However, it lacked a lot of flavor and I constantly had to add a lot of soy sauce for my palette. My friend got the inaka plate which came with a lot of different veggies and brown rice. My friend loved it but for me, again, it was very pure and a little lacking in flavor. So all-in-all, come if you're looking for a restaurant that is all about vegetarian, pure ingredients. Just don't expect the flavor to always play a strong part in the back.
