Mr. Devitt and Starr are terrific! I was pulled over for an accident that i caused by driving under the influence. Major no-no. I was summarily "processed" by LAPD who didn't especially appreciate a loose lipped drunk. LAPD also broke the law during that encounter (another story). My partner hired Mr Devitt and his team and we were almost instantly relieved that he took charge, either he, himself or Ms Starr attended all court hearings without my presence necessary - and got the felony DUI reduced to misdemeanor DUI. Jay is the nicest guy and WOW what a hell of a lawyer. I was slapped with some pretty serious drug charges and the magic that this man worked in the court room saved me from YEARS behind bars. YEARS. James Devitt is amazing! Being a prior Los Angeles resident, my foot was a little heavy on the gas peddle. I was excited about going back to Redondo Beach and getting away from the' hoopla' in Arizona. I ended up with a ticket for driving 95 in a 65 mph zone. The officer who pulled me over wasn't very friendly. I was so afraid, I thought he would read me my rights. He explained I could contest the ticket or attend driving school. Needless to say my weekend back to Redondo was not very relaxing. I was worried that on the trip back to Arizona, I would end up with another ticked for something ridiculous before I reached home.
