Kumon Math and Reading Center of Culver City - North

I'm quite disappointed in this center. I took my daughter in for the assessment exam on a Saturday. The director wasn't in the office that day, but the teacher said the director would call us on Monday to go over the program and schedule. We were excited and eager for our daughter to get started. I left a voice message for a call back. I called a few times. No one picks up the phone. They need to work on communication better. No one likes going to a business that never calls back. And no one likes to take time from their schedule, bring their child to take an assessment, and have no follow up after that. It's been 2 weeks.

We have been coming to this particular location for the past 3 years.  The Director Mrs Ruth is the most caring teacher we have encountered in any extra curricular classes.  The teachers are helpful and encouraging when the kids are struggling with a subject.  My son has been able to succeed thanks to the continuation and practice daily.  If your child is struggling with math and reading this is one way to help them succeed and become confident learners. The only negative is parking, but even that  it's not too bad.

I highly recommend this Kumon center for any families looking to supplement their children's school education. Our children attended this Kumon center since just before entering Kindergarten. They were enrolled in both math and reading. We came to the center to provide a more structured and daily routine for the kids. We also wanted to help them be responsible for their work and results from an early age. The Kumon program helped tremendously in all these areas, plus providing advanced curriculum. Ms. Ruth is the owner and primary instructor and she is amazing. She is professional, communicative and accomodating with the parents, and encouraging to the children while challenging them to take responsibility. This Kumon center has a very personal touch, unlike some of the other Kumon centers in our neighborhood. Ms. Ruth gets to know each of the children's strengths, weaknesses and work habits.The program provides confidence in the children to reach their best potential. It gives them a sense of responsibility and achievement as they succeed through the levels. It teaches them that consistent work and practice leads to deep learning. We have recommended the program when families come asking for advice on ways to supplement their child's schoolwork or if their child is struggling a bit in school, and they have been equally happy with the program. We highly recommend this Kumon center!
