One of the best restos I had in a long time. Dessert was a crostata, also one of the best I had in a long time. If you want a nice place to eat great food this one of the best place to try.

What I'm saying here is probably no different that what has already been said many times before. Delicious Italian food. Good service. In a basement on Pico. Easy to miss from the car so look out for Picca signage(now closed Peruvian restaurant). Pricey but at least it has good quality. Even though they're a nice sit down restaurant (but not at all overly formal & stuffy attitude), you can still do takeout. Known for very delicious pizza (among the best Neapolitan style ones around), but some of the other stuff is really good too.

🤮SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY !!! RUDE STAFF, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT🤡, BAD SEATING, Just a BAD EXPERIENCE overall !! 😕They have no interest in their clientele, they don’t care if you like it or not. They have been handed undeserving success based off reviews they must have paid for. Our DRINKS were very BLAND, basically tasteless, NOT good ! The Other Margarita tasted like it had dirt in it !!! I don’t even know what would make that happen. 🤢 You could get get the same tasteless drinks from any corner bar with bitters, in fact it would possibly be better. The receptionist was absolutely unintelligent 🤡 and or just rude 😠, along with several other employees we encountered 😡. I basically felt like every employee there was miserable 😩 and hated their job. People at the bar were complaining, telling us how bad the service was; they had been waiting for 20 minutes for a refill of their wine. We should have known to leave at that point. This might have been an amazing place at one point, however they’ve become lazy and disinterested in their customers. Management 🤡 obviously has no understanding of customer service or just doesn’t give a SH T. Their UNDESERVING success can only be due to an overwhelming constant flood of people here in LA. People must be reading reviews from 2011 when this place was new and needed to earn clientele. However it’s no longer 2011, and you can expect a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE in 2018 !!!! I watched several people simply walk away from the receptionist’s attitude 😡. I wish we had just walked away too. GOOD LUCK if you decide to give this “once was great” place a try !!! You will surely end up frustrated and disappointed, wishing you had gone somewhere else. 😩. If you want great pizza go to the 800 degree pizza just a few miles away by the campus. We got there just as they were closing, after leaving Sotto hungry. I explained our experience at Sotto to the manager at the door of 800 degree pizza. He was so nice he not only let us in, he also comped us our pizza 🍕!!! 😀. Btw. I called the owner Dina to explain what had happened. She never called back. Lol. 😳I guess she was too busy to care that her employees are ignorant and not representing her very well. 🤯👎🏼,, or maybe they do. Lol. In my experience, it all starts at the top.

Chose Sotto's prefixe dinner for NYE and it ended up being a big disappointment. Overall food was below average. The lamb chops were poor quality, mostly fat and not cooked to request (rare instead of medium). After bringing it to the restaurant's attention they brought a horrible complimentary glass of some jagermeister/cinnamon shot. Upsetting to see the objective is to turn as much of a margin by setting excessive fixed prices with low quality food. Won't be returning here.
