North Hollywood High School Zoo Magnet Center

I graduated in 2016. My freshman year was spent entirely at the North Hollywood main campus, and it was the worst year of my life. I was bullied to the ground, verbally and physically, and when I complained to administrators they did NOTHING. In my math class, they simply moved the kid who physically bullied me to the other side of the room and told him to leave me alone. I dont even think his parents were ever made aware of what he did to me. Come sophomore year, I joined the Zoo Magnet and it was the best three years ever. The intimacy of the school means every single administrator knows you & your name. Every student. No more walking down hallways of one hundred students and twenty administrators, none of which even recognize your face. The counselors and teachers here worked with me individually. The teachers here really put time into each and every student individually. They care, because you dont just become another student in a pool of 500. This school made me excited to get up in the morning.
