I have known Fabio Micucci for nearly twenty years. I have been a loyal patron of his. Some of my clients have collected Micuccis pieces. They have in fact returned to buy additional pieces over the years. Fabio has always acted very professionally and made it his responsibility to ensure we had a seamless experience. Some of my clients have visited Micuccis showroom without my being first informed. Fabio has always contacted me right away to keep me in the loop. The Pacific Design Center has tainted the designer-client relationship by offering purchasing services at designers net pricing. All of the PDCs tenants depend on designers to earn a living and pay rent. Yet, the PDC has disloyally engaged in competing with designers directly. However, there are vendors like Micucci who have soared above the rest.

We are an interior design firm and have been doing business for over 30 years. We selected and specified a number of glass pieces from Micucci, which is supposedly a to-the-trade showroom. We spent weeks corresponding with the owner and working with our client to make final selections. Then we learned that, without so much as a courtesy call or email, this vendor met directly with our client and negotiated a special price without including us in the sale. This is supposedly a to-the-trade showroom however the owner negotiated directly with our client, a non-trade individual, in an effort to make a quick sale.
In our more than 30-years of doing business, we have never had this experience with any other trade vendor. It is highly unprofessional and unethical. Actions like this have the potential to ruin designer-client relationships and put design firms out of business. We warn other design firms to protect your client relationships by not patronizing Micucci. We will never purchase from this company again and will make every effort to warn other designers to do the same.
