I appreciate it how proficient and how thorough my new dentist is she takes the time to listen and fix the problem I appreciate this dental office and my new dentist I rate this five stars

My dentist for 6 years now. I moved and even with traffic, I am willing to still go to her office. She’s truly the best, honest and straightforward. My last visit was today and she was so accommodating with me and my 2 kids. One staff member was drawing with my son and I even had my newborn sleeping on my chest while she cleaned and filled 2 of my fillings with NO shot since I’m breast feeding. I thought I would have to reschedule and she was so nice and seeing if we could get it down same day. She’s also very personable and remembers all our conversations because he truly cares. It’s so hard to find a doctor that I trust that my sister from San Diego will also be going to this office

Dr Sonia is nice but doesn’t know what she’s doing. She did a filling for me that fell out! Re-did it and that resulted in me needing a root canal, THEN the filling fell out again, just crazy! Also another tooth they worked on cracked up, so now I have 2 teeth with holes! They also keep scheduling me for work to be done almost every week, it was just weird.

Seems legit but I guess I'll never know, because their male (clearly discriminatory) receptionist "Sandy" tried to treat me over the phone. YUP. The sheer confidence of an unlicensed nonprofessional asking my age insistently and other aggressively invasive, discriminatory HIPAA-violating and dangerous behaviors (!) to tell my my DENTIST REFERRAL didn't matter because I was too young for it to be serious (?!) as I sat there listening silently was.. something. When I bewilderedly asked if it was a consultation, or if he was a licensed professional, he got confused, so I repeated - "I asked for an emergency appointment or consultation and you are advising me. So. Are you a licensed professional?" To which he suddenly seemed shaken, and started mumbling about how he didn't know when the dentists would be available. I hung up. Didn't know what to do or how to get to any other staff, in the middle of a pandemic, no less. Asked a colleague to call for me because he clearly had a severe bias against and refused to answer such a basic question.. and she received the same treatment. He even went so far as to ask her where she was calling from. ALL THAT WORK, then said he wasn't sure re availabilities and that he'd call her back - no mention of when, no asking for her name or number lmao. What. Understandably, I was terrified at this point, but they were the only office left within distance of me and were the only ones within 15 miles who were also right down the block with great reviews (this NEVER happens!). And, I was desperate to be seen. Stupidly, I called my insurance, who also tried for me - same thing. They were so concerned with his conduct that they reminded me I had transportation through insurance (lol a total joke, I've tried and they fail miserably) and that they didn't want to give my number or any info out to this person. They gently coaxed me to try elsewhere, but that doesn't take away from how crazy this dude is. Clearly, Sandy is much more interested in severely harming people and covering his tracks than he is providing basic professionalism and decent care. Ended up making an appointment 50 miles away which I hope will work out, but none of the many calls I made after (or before) that were this difficult or insane. Terrifying.
