Novel Cafe

The food is pretty darn good if not a little pricey. I like eating in the outdoor seating for the people watching opportunities and because it's a little smoky inside from the cooking in the kitchen. Otherwise it's a really nice space inside too.

Food was great. But please do something for that strong ginger odor. The first thing coming into this store was this suffocating stench ... Ughh...

I gave it the two just because the service that day was pretty lame. While my boyfriend and I were scoping this small coffee shop, I noticed all the décor, and the relax vibes, it was a Sunday, so why not have a coffee. We waited for someone to notice us, but both workers were into a conversation from a customer, so we waited we didn't want to interrupt. We looked at the menu, and while I waited for my boyfriend to choose, I stood by one the registers waiting for the guys to ask If we needed anything. Finally after my boyfriend was ready to order, he waited to for them to notice, so we decided he stand in front the other register, and I on the opposite side to see if they notice, and we waived at them. We caught there attention, they were pretty out of it, and I asked if all they had organic coffee, because I just saw coffee grains and bags, just thought they sold it separately from making the coffee they have on the menu board. The barista said, "Yeah they're all Organic, with no pesticides, you can see it in the wall there, Organic Coffee." The other guy said, "pesticides? no they shouldn't" So ,I just said okay, well never mind, ill let my boyfriend order. He got a chocolate cupcake and a vanilla ice coffee. He had both and said it was the worst he had. The cupcake was stale, no flavor and couldn't eat a bite, while his coffee, was tasting differently, with another flavor other than vanilla, and he said, " how can you mess up a vanilla ice coffee, were not coming here anymore." There you have it my review. I hope to come here again , just to see if it was just that day that was bad, or just bad service.
