This is retro look bbq restaurant and pretty good meat quality and you could bring your own stuff. You might feel weird if you are young generation but old ppl would feel home in Korea that makes this place so special. Especially LA galbi, sweet rice drink called sichae, intestine, beef tung and so one so so good!
Try out you will not regret it

it was our first time at a Korean bbq and the owners took the time to explain everything and even helped us cook the food when we got distracted. they made the experience so fun , they were so welcoming. i say go there with an open mind they will probably have you try new things.

I've been to better ones outside of L.A but having to be in L.A for the weekend, my friends and I thought we try out Choeng Wun Korean BBQ. Meat is decent, Korean lady seemed nice at first then seemed a little irritated when we asked for more water. We ate, I paid and left a little tip... the lady looked at the receipt and said, "oh, you have choose one of those tips (points to 15%, 18%, or 20% tip). I was dumbfounded! I only tipped $5 cause it was self-serve buffet. Anyway, we're not going here again. I know L.A enough to know that protection fee or not in L.A, that's jacked up!! I hope they post up a sign on their door about tipping!! This is the original tip before changing it to 15% ($12.14).... this wasn't enough.tsk
