Great dessert but awful customer service! I ordered from this place because of good reviews but had a terrible experience with the owner herself. My boyfriend ordered the cake for my birthday online. The owner called, confirmed that the cake would say happy birthday JeJe, accepted the deposit and confirmed delivery for 10 am. On delivery day, my boyfriend called her at 10:30 am to see what the status of delivery was. The owner said that there were other cakes that had to be delivered before mine and asked it she could deliver at 12 pm instead. We informed her we were leaving for a trip so she hesitantly offered to come drop the cake off herself. The owner/ cake designer arrived at our home at 11 am. She rudely asked my boyfriends parents to tell him to hurry up and pick the cake up from her because she was running late for something (not the customers problem). After watching her leave in a hurry, we noticed the cake did not say happy birthday, and in fact had NO writing on it at all. My boyfriend called her and asked why it did not have the wording on it and she explained that she doesnt write happy birthday because of her religious beliefs and usually has someone else do it. She also stated All of my clients already know this. How could a new client ever be expected to know that?! It certainly is not a disclaimer on the site. She ended up driving back to our home to fix the cake but made no effort in hiding her anger from us and did not even bring the utensils needed to fix the cake. The entire time she gave orders to my boyfriend as if he didnt pay for this expensive cake and was her assistant. She stated, Get me a knife. My boyfriend said excuse me? And she added a please to her statement. He brings her a knife and she rolls her eyes and asks if this is the only one you have. Then she ordered him with, get me a napkin. I need a napkin. Because of how rude she was and her lack of professionalism, my boyfriend ignored her last order. She proceeded to post the picture of my cake on social media, before the needed corrections, and never once bothered to rectify the fact that she completely mistreated a new customer who was excited to support a fellow black business owner. Truly disappointed several text messages and calls were made to my boyfriend denying any responsibility and took the time to search and block me, who shes never even met, on social media. Need I say more?
