The property doesnt equip with enough parking. Ive never seen an apartment that doesnt have parking for all residents.

I was probably one of the first dozen or so tenants to move into Nexen in Aug. After living here for a few months, I can't say that I have any complaints. Its been pleasant overall. I moved from one of the DTLA high rises, and, previous to that, a mid-rise (like Nexen) in South Park, and feel like I have somewhat of a good gauge/benchmark as to how these newer properties are run. In a nutshell, Nexen is a nice place to live.
I saw some complaints about the build quality. I agree that it isn't the *best* quality/materials. For the building height, its the typical wood construction, so I understand that this isn't an ultra-luxury build like you would find in a concrete high rise. I think for what it is, at our rent price point, it's ok.
In terms of noise, yes, the walls arent solid soundproof and they are seemingly *thin*. I can sometimes hear my neighbors (like footsteps above, couples of quarrels), but they are chill and respectful; that's all I can ask for. There are no parties (at least on my side), so overall, given we live in a community, the noise is not bothersome. Its only about 5% of my time when Im home that I notice anything.
My interactions with management have been fine; they actually get back to me within a few hours, whether texting/emailing, and I see the building manager around all the time. My previous apt, which had over 500 units with 800 parking spots, would only send out community announcements once every few months. But at Nexen, I get emails from management at least once or so a week.
I do sense the parking situation is a bit of a mess, but I do see that management has been proactive, at least in trying to rectify the situation. And in terms of safety, I feel much safer walking around here than DTLA. I'm talking I'm *okay* walking with my AirPods on at night, but I'd never in, say, DTLA, given how unsafe it's gotten there.

Deceitful management scammed tenants on parking. Very thin walls. Not safe to walk outside at night and front of the building is not kept clean. Stay away.

Deceptive leasing and disastrous management. We were one of the first tenants to move into the building, first we were lied to about the deposit having it changed twice between when we toured, received the lease, and signed. Then we were lied to about the available parking being told we could get a space with our unit then it somehow being full with a multi-month wait list. Now that management has been conducting a "parking audit" for over a month because they miss-assigned the parking spaces and can't figure out what to do. Additionally the building as advertised as high end but they used the cheapest possible finishes/appliances including a dishwasher that doesn't have a dry function, leaking washing machine, and sadly this isn't a joke: bathtub finishes that rust in less than 4 months.
