PLEASE READ BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION OR SIGNING A LEASE!! First, I am not the type of person to leave a review, however, I had such a negative experience with this company that I felt compelled to save even just one person from working with and paying their hard earned money to such an unprofessional place. When I went to take a visit everyone was very kind. I wanted to move in but had a strict time restriction of when I would have to move in and when I would need to make a decision by. After my visit they had confirmed my space would be ready on the day that I needed to move in and also that they would approve me within the 72 hour window (which they never mentioned) after leaving a $600 deposit to hold the room. Once I put the deposit down I was told that I would have a decision on an approval the next day by the end of the day. When that day arrived I was not given an approval and I was also told the person handling my approval would now be out of office the next two days (how convenient its right after the 72 hour window.) I right away contacted multiple times through email/phone/etc and finally was able to get into contact with a "manager" who I found out later was not a manager, and she told me she would handle my information and give me a decision by the end of that day. Again, I was never contacted and so they made me literally wait until after the 72 hour window to tell me to "assume I am approved" but wouldn't even be able to move in on the agreed upon day. Because they were so unprofessional and literally did not email or call me back I decided to live somewhere else because of how irresponsible the management was. After all of this happened I tried to make an appointment with a manager to try and amend the situation and get my money back and have yet to hear from anybody almost two weeks later. Not only will I have to go through a bank and a lawyer to get my 600 back but still not one person has reach out to me. The lack of disrespect, unprofessionalism, and negligence is truly beyond me I have never felt so disgusted by a company in my life. PURE ROBBERY. Please do not ever consider living here if you want to keep your hard earned money and your happiness !

Apply with confidence! I was extremely interested in being apart of the Modera West LA community, unfortunately I was denied. I called them because I was most worried about when Id be refunded for my deposit. My deposit was refunded within two days! (Even though they have 30 days to do so) Moving to a new state can be hectic when its such a far distance. I am thankful for the help I received from the people call Center as well as the office.

Disappointed. I had higher expectations upon moving here. 3 stars because there are some good aspects. People openly break lease agreements without any repercussions. Constant illegal parking and management posts signs but refuse to tow. Pot smokers moved in September and smoke constantly without repercussions. Noise complaints go unaddressed. Bottom line is no one is held accountable for disturbing others or lease violations. Will be moving at the end of my lease.

Worst communication and follow up from a living community I have ever experienced. This property is all smiles and "show" while moving you through the application process. They allegedly allow up to two days to cancel your application and provide a refund if you decide not to live here. I submitted my application along with a $600 deposit to "hold" an apartment while I made my final decision on housing. I submitted a refund request the next day when I found somewhere else to live. It's been 50 days since I received confirmation in the mail about my refund but NO CHECK. Needless to say I have called and e mailed them multiple times being as polite as my patience will allow with the same run-around and apologies. Whoever is managing this community is incompetent.
