High prices high crime area 😔 In 1974 my husband & I honeymooned here and it was a little gem, but just picked up a family member this morning, and was terrified, at 10 am, of parking and walking to this motel. The alley adjacent was swarming with men, shopping carts, tents and trash, sidewalks, too. I was relieved to be able to park inside the property. There didn't seem to be a problem in that area, next to the pool, but my doors were locked until I got home.

Disappointing, I am not accustomed to writing a negative review, but I have to be honest about each establishment I visit. On the positive side, the staff are pleasant, they waited for us considering we had a late arrival. Almost 10 pm. The mgr was helpful with our concerns. We were just put off by the condition of the room, and lack of cleanliness. We chose the hotel for the close location to the cruise port. We slepted in our clothes, lysol wiped down all fixtures, and sanitized everything. We had to change a fece stained bed sheet, and cover up a terribly sweat stained underpad. We are traumatized before our cruise. On a brighter note, the area is lively with a great selection of restaurants, and bars. I am not saying do not come here, but be mindful, this is a 1-2 rating when it comes to cleanliness. We knew the room was going to be dated. Its the cleanliness that is paramount for us. Expedia had a rating of 3.6 which in this case is very inaccurate. (Edit next morning,) staff very friendly, allowed for late check out which was beneficial to us. Still left a tip for the housekeepers.
