Unbelievably the poorest customer service I've experienced....twice.
My first appointment, I'll admit, I was an hour early. No big deal I thought, as I could just sit in the parking lot and complete some paperwork and make a few client calls.
As I drove into the waiting area, however, the Allstate associate, who was serving another guest immediately yelled; you're an hour early! Before I could even ask him where a convenient place to park, he yelled the same thing again two more times - mind you that I hadn't rolled down my window yet.
When I did get a moment to speak, I asked if it was a problem that I was there soo early? He replied, after noticing how uncomfortable the first guest was at his demeanor, that it wasn't - so long as I didn't mind waiting. Then in less than five minutes I could hear him yelling again and when I looked up, he was telling me that I would have to move.
Feeling that thIs was going to be a bad experience that neither of us could recover from, I asked him if he would like me to reschedule? His response... "If you'd like".
Now, a couple of weeks later, I arrived 15 minutes early and found a parking spot away from the waiting area. As I'm sitting there another guest pulled up and I wondered, are they late or early? No worries, I'll still be on time. I proceeded to drive into the waiting area at exactly 9:00am and immediately the same associate, Michael Kelly, came up and abruptly announced that I couldn't park there (a simple, hey good morning, can I ask you to back up while my first guest exits?) Would've sufficed!
I then rolled down my window and said, I'm hear on time where should I go? And all he would say was that I couldn't park there... (Mind you, this is where the guest was parked during my first appointment.) Since he didn't have any suggestions - I just waited until the initial guest was ready to leave and then backed out.
Once Michael was done with my quote, I asked him for a business card. He replied, no, and proceeded to walk away. I then yelled, wait and said don't walk away and asked for a managers name? He replied that he would have his manager call me. So I got out of my vehicle and said, look Michael, you work for Allstate, a national company. You have to report to someone. What is the name of the supervisor that is associated with this office? Once he gave me Red Icascaino's name, he added...go ahead and call him. He backs me on everything.
I'm sure going to have to rethink having Allstate insure me. The worst part (if possible) is that this is a rear-end accident and Allstate is the other drivers insurance company!
