The Inn at China peak is awful. The employees sleep in the economy rooms so the cheapest you can get is a queen room for $200 a night unless youre really lucky. Ive stayed twice now and the first time the lights were on their last legs, the heater for the building wasnt turned on so you need to get a space heater from the front desk, and the room is roughly 10x8 plus a 8x4 bathroom. The second time, neither the main door to the hall or the bathroom closed correctly, the security chain was broken off, and Im 99% certain the bed was a full, not a queen, because this room was even smaller than the first room. All the furniture is scrounged from goodwill or other thrift stores and assembled poorly. The Wi-Fi doesnt work at all unless you connect at 5am when everyone is asleep. Employees say its because someones streaming Netflix, well yeah, get a bigger data plan and more repeaters. Its a hotel. What do you expect people to do once the slopes close at 4? We have a grand total of 7 TV channels in both rooms we stayed it. Both times now weve found trash under the bed or just out in the open in the rooms. So all that for $200/night. Just stay in Fresno.
The actual slopes are fine. Used to be the ultra-budget ski place in CA but prices have shot up in the last three years. Luckily the season pass pays for itself fairly quickly.

It was ok...i was a first timer so it was confusing on where to go or what to do and the line was super long to check in.

Always a good time at China Peak. The Buckhorn restaurant/bar is awesome. Good food, good drinks. Clean slopes, definitely recommend
