Lake Forest Ice Palace feels dumpy. The ceiling was leaking in spots when I was there, causing ice mounds to form on the ice. These were annoying to keep skating over. The rink was much smaller than I expected. There was no one monitoring the skating, so kids kept skating in the wrong direction. Everything felt out of control, and uncared about.A dad had cones out to give his son skating lessons in the middle of public skate. A hockey team was there skating full force in pads and making the rest of us patrons get out of the way or fear getting hit. They were running into the walls, and causing back up as we waited for them to pass.I would not return. It was a rotten, unenjoyable experience.
