Joshua Tree Drug Court

I've gained a freedom from drugs through this program.

Hello i have been a drug Court client since January 2017,I entered drug court for a fourth dui,for alcohol and drugs,I had no idea what drug court was,I was excepted by the the judge and the drug court team Eric butterfield,stephanie Stafford and DanielleVanhouver, I was placed with a counselor,stephanie Stafford,it was very hard for me to stop my anxiety medication and pain killer addiction,I wish I would have had better communication with my counselor but I couldn't,I didn't feel comfortable,I relapsed Feb 23 I was put on contract ,I gave another dirty test and then my counselor notified the judge I was ordered to see him the next day and was taken into custody,there I waited about10days for a bed at a rehabilitation center,I was release to the Gibson house, awesome place,great staff,Sylvia barbosa is the supervisor there, but she tought our process group there I learned all about myself,and why I am an addict,I was there90days,returned to drug court april 26,I was then placed with a new counselor danielle vanhover, I never thought I would stay sober this long,she understood me the way no one ever has,I always feared to open up to someone, but I didn't and never have to tell her when something is good sad or bad ,she can tell I have5 months 3 days clean,she gave me the hope to get my baby back from cps ,he was taken at birth,I now have my beautiful son,she gave me the motivation to be strong Again and independent,and I accomplished that I now have a job,I don't think I could have asked for anything else in this world but to have my son and be sober, when I get frustrated or overwhelmed she's always there to listen and help .drug court is a place and treatment center that if you really put your heart into and really want sobriety and success you will achieve it as long as you put everything in God's hands, or if you don't believe in God believe in your self .always be honest with yourself as well as to others,most of all the judge lol,you will accomplish as much as you want the sky is the limit,thank you Danielle,for treating me and all your other clients like people and not just Addicts with no hope,also thankyou to Eric butterfield for always hearing me out good or bad,he is a great person also.I will forever be grateful.
