Motel?? This is way better. It's more like an inn. It is very peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful. The rooms look out toward Tomales Bay. There is a large common room with books, games, fireplace, comfy furniture, and a deck with patio furniture. There is a kitchenette with mini frig, ice machine, tea, and coffee. Rooms are small but comfortable; beds are comfy. The managers of this property are helpful and friendly. This was an anniversary getaway for us and I have to say, this was an excellent place to stay.

Very nicely located motel on the mudflats. The main building is a kind of cozy living room, with the rooms adjoining it on the ground floor. The comfort of the rooms is extremely modest, extremely noisy, old worn laminate floor, very small old bathroom. The price is inversely proportional to the comfort of the rooms, as if the beautiful location on the mudflats with the thousands of birds were an achievement of the hotel.

When I said good night to you and your wife for the evening you were enjoying a complementary glass of wine with another couple of guests in front of our cozy fireplace and I remember thinking “This is why I love my job. Seeing our guests connecting in this peaceful place makes me so happy.” Yes, our location on the wetlands of Tomales Bay is truly special, but what we believe sets us apart is our passion for hospitality. While some of our rooms are quite basic, including the one you selected, all of our rooms are spotlessly clean with exceptionally comfortable beds and 24 hour access to our Redwood Lodge.
