5 Star Escrow

As a buyers experience I have to call them to check if they got all the paperwork needed. My lender emailed them at 5 am I m checking at 12 noon they said they haven’t received anything yet then called my lender again to call them and they said . Oh ok we will schedule notary right now. Then we closed and everything no emails from them until I called to transfer service of utilities.

I have been buying and selling properties for nearly 2 1/2 decades and worked with many escrow companies with varying degrees of experiences. However, 5 Star Escrow takes the cake in providing the most inferior service ever. They tack on junk fees like there is no tomorrow. When you ask for an explanation, they ignore you. Their e-mail system is a joke, and got phished multiple times. Their knowledge of escrow procedures doesn't deserve not even a single star. A realty brokerage, Alam Realty, and 5 Star Escrow are run by the same individual. Not sure if this is even kosher! If I have a choice I would not select this escrow or realty.

I have trust issues with this company because they are directly related to Alam Realty. Escrow officer couldn't even get her email to work. Choose a different escrow company.
