All these ppl tlkn bad on arts is TRIPN BEST CRAB I TASTED IN HAYWARD YOU EATING FOOD NOT THE PLACE IDIOTS FORGET HOW THE PLACE LOOKS THE FOOD IS GREAT PERIIODD !!!

I took a date to Art's Crab Shack in Hayward, CA a few months ago and it's more than you'd expect from a good seafood joint. The interior was decorated like it was a ship and I could almost smell fresh saltwater. There were lobsters in the aquarium. Most importantly, the crab tasted really good and my date was impressed. Don't let the $35 price for crabs scare you; they have good noodles and other dishes that cost well under that. Both people could easily split an order of crabs. And the service is rated a 3 for their bountiful and tasty free bread. I couldn't eat it all so I took some crab home and it became my Sunday lunch! I ended up spending $50 in total on food, as my date got a good but inexpensive pasta dish.

Just moved to Hayward and wanted to give this place a try with family in town but saw all the bad ratings and decided not to. MESSAGE TO THE BUSINESS - do something to let people know you are making an effort to increase the quality and service of your restaurant and food so prospective patrons can give you a chance. As of now all I see is old ratings.
