image I had my surgery laminectomy microdisectomy on December 18,2018 and I have not been the same since. He always blamed my weight before and after surgery but Im not huge enough for that to be a problem. Im left completely disabled using a walker at all times and in horrible chronic pain. I wish I would of never done surgery. I have huge regrets till this day.

image Dr Ro operated on my back in 2015. He failed to give me Coumadin and one month later I had a huge blood clot in my lungs that almost die from. This is the cause that 2 years later I have Pulmonary hypertension, and there's no cure for it. So, I'm sitting in my chair with oxygen 24/7, unable to walk or do anything. Thank you Dr Ro. And as many people say you should have retired long ago. I wish it would have been before my surgery.

image Dr Ro is the best Neuro surgeon I’ve met. I had a brain surgery of meningioma in 2004. Now I’m working without complications, dr Ro is very kind and professional. Respect him. Very trusted. Strongly I recommend Dr Ro all the time. Thank you so much 😊.

image Unfortunately the business is not claimed so Dr. Roo will not see my review to know about my gratitude but I am writing this to inform the community and people who might be in the same place as I was.I had a sequestrated disc and it was to a point that I was in pain for 8 week and I was completely immobilized.I saw Dr. Roo on 6th week and he said surgery is inevitable and he was right, I was unable to walk or function, I haven't been to work and I could not do the daily basic tasks. Sitting was impossible.I needed help with everything. After a really long visit and Dr. Roo examining almost every single detail you could imagine he invited me to his office and showed me the MRI images. As soon as I saw the damaged disc I was in such a shock that I couldn't even talk. About 80% of spinal cord was blocked and the right nerve root was completely compressed. His suggestion was open back discecyomy and I was not sure so I didn't schedule an appointment then and I went for second opinion and guess what their suggestions made no sense. They told me I had to take a disc replacement surgery which was not the best solution to my case. I ended up going to a chiropractor I knew and he took the MRI results and told me he will be at Cedar Sinai hospital the next day and he will ask the surgeons there to take a look, as they are all friends with him.I guess I hit the Jackpot that day because the entire spiral surgery team had a meeting and the chiropractor was able to show the MRI results to 9 surgeons and all of them said I should go with what Dr. Roo suggested.Long story short. After the surgery, the pain was gone, numbness was gone but my leg and ankle muscles were still weak. Walking was extremely difficult, I almost learnt to walk all over again, sitting was even harder, I was not able to move my legs easily for about 10 days after surgery, I needed a walker to be able to walk and I needed someone to help me get out of bed. My only complain would be the fact that they released me the next day after surgery while I was in extreme pain and I was not able to move on my own. It put me and my mom who was taking care of me at risk and danger because the 3rd day when she was helping me get up she fell and I also fell on the bed. We just got lucky the fall was not a terrible one. It has been a long journey since then but I have made progress. I have done 5 weeks of physical therapy for now and I am making improvement. Dr. Roo told me me losing my ankle nerve reflex might be permanent because it usually doesn't come back in majority of patients and mine was zero before surgery but at the moment I have a tiny bit of reflex in my ankle and I hope it will get better by time. It is week 6 and I am able to walk using a cane in public and without at home, and sit which were impossible before surgery. I need to wear a brace for another 6 weeks, I still have movement restrictions (no bending, no lifting and no twisting) but in general I cannot thank Dr. Roo enough for giving my normal life back to me.I will always be grateful for this.

image I'm almost 9 months post back surgery and I'm in the worst pain I've ever been in my whole life. I went to the emergency room yesterday at Glendale Adventist to only find out that they tried getting Dr. Ro because he's the one who operated me (my pain has been constant everyday since December 17th) for them to tell me that the only neurosurgeon on call is Dr. Ro and that he said "he's not very happy with me and he won't service you any longer" yes I had to speak up and make a complaint with my insurance because of rude remarks from the doctor and lack of help and this is how he responds. To my knowledge he had to receive a form stating that I could see him without any problem even after the complaint. That just seems petty and unprofessional to me at this point now. He ruined my back and he won't even see me too see what's going on.
