Steve went above and beyond for us to (1) connect our dryer to the lint exhaust duct in our laundry room wall (2) locate the duct under the house which was dumping lint into our basement crawl space (3) install rigid metal ducting in the crawl space across the width of the house, and (4) properly vent the lint exhaust outside the house. The laundry room is a tight, cramped space and the wall duct was located near the floor which only made it worse. Steve squeezed behind the machines to temporarily connect the dryer to the duct and then climbed over the washer in order to get out from behind the machines! He came back a week later to finish the job and spent all day under the house in the basement crawl space installing rigid metal ducting that properly vents outside the basement crawl space. He also sealed up the connection from the dryer to the wall duct with duct tape which meant climbing over the machines again. I really appreciate Steve's tenacity and willingness to take on the dryer lint exhaust problem. He also performed furniture assembly and general repairs, and I was happy with his knowledge and the quality of his work. I've hired him to come back to complete a list of other projects. Stephen Boykin is a gem! Professional, timely and skillful. We had several random things that needed to be done - from re-caulking our sink, to removing old appliances, to re-hanging a bathroom light/fan, to figuring out what was wrong with our fridge. As a license contractor, he can handle virtually anything in the home - or providing advice on when to seek another professional carpenter, plumber, etc. Super-trustworthy, reasonable. He has decades of experience! Recommend highly.

We needed two new front door handle sets and deadbolt installed. We got a pair at Home Depot. I got a quote from a locksmith for $350. This locksmith told us the door handle sets would not work on our door and we had to buy some other special handle sets which would cost much more than what we got at Home Depot. I called Stephen Boykin who charged us $200 and could see no reason that handle sets we had would not work. He installed them properly and we are happy customers.
