Dr. Kim has been my dentist for almost 15 years now. Prior to that, as a result of a lot of bad dental interactions as a child, I hadn't seen a dentist in many years, and needed a massive amount of work done. On my way to my first appointment, I was afraid I was going back to the torture chamber, because that was all I'd ever experienced with dentists. But, simply on being greeted and interviewed by Dr. Kim, I could tell that he was a very different breed of dentist. I probably wasn't able to hide my surprise when he asked me "and what are your expectations of me as a medical provider?" He reframed my understanding of - and relationship to - the biology of my mouth, and why I was more prone to cavities than normal. There was no guilt trip, only clear explanations. He stays very current on the latest available techniques and dental technology, and even makes root canals easy. "From your end, it's basically a long filling." And he's right! After the initial deferred maintenance, I haven't had more than one, maybe two cavities in 15 years, and I used to need a filling (and get a guilt trip) on almost every visit with my childhood dentists. The out-of-network rate is worth it. If you can see him as your dentist, you are one of the lucky ones.

Hands down the worst dental experience Ive ever had. Ill add photos but you can see the crown isnt even near being the same color as the rest of the teeth (and is almost just a flat stub). Whats infuriating was that the whole process was so bad and unprofessional that I went to another two dentists after this was done, to ask them what they thought. They both said the techniques used were very outdated and were surprised the crown had been done this way - they asked if the dentist tried to match the tooth color (which he didnt) and then lastly and worst of all, when they looked at the X-rays, they said they didnt see any need for the crowns in the first place. Avoid this place like the plague.

Dr. Lucio Kim took great care of my son . The perfect crown . My son is 20 and I wanted to have the very best for him. And Dr. Kim has been. Very happy and greatly appreciate the very fine work.
