A solid choice for Sushi. The place is busy so it seems unlikely the fish could be anything but fresh. Presentation is top notch and the atmosphere is good for newcomers but not as great as it used to be. I guess that comes with being a local hangout?

I had heard talk about Wasabi and was unsure of what to expect. It was the first sushi restaurant I had ever gone to. The first impression after walking through the door was that this place was legitimate. The atmosphere is very fun, but still relaxed at the same time. White and black with red accents really fit in with the pop music playing over the in house speakers. The preparation is all done out in the open at the sushi bar, but there is also wait staff if you wish to sit at a table. When choosing what to get from the menu, keep in mind that a majority of the menu items aren't like most other sushi places in size. The items here are massive! We ordered 4 different dishes and were completely stuffed between the two of us with a little left over. So I recommend 1-2 dishes per person depending on their stomach, but one good sized dish is definitely more than enough to constitute a full meal. This is definitely a plus considering that most sushi comes with a hefty price tag. I found the price of the items were very reasonable considering the size and quality of what we were served. The taste was fantastic, no fishy taste which indicates that what we were served was top quality and fresh. Well handled and prepared. My only complaint with the taste is that I ordered the spiciest thing on the menu, and it wasn't very spicy at all, though it was still very delicious! The ginger and wasabi served on the side was wonderful, I'd argue that even people who don't typically enjoy ginger will enjoy this (ginger is used to cleanse the pallete between items) and will prepare you for the next bite. If you're new to sushi and don't yet have a reference to go to, them I'd recommend checking out one of the few wasabi locations, while this one is smaller and lighter in atmosphere, the location in fig garden is larger and higher class for a nice and fancy date night out. This location is more for having an intimate time with friends in a light and fun setting.

I enjoyed the food, this placed came highly recommended to me. So I decided to take my luv there for our anniversary. We shared a meal because of our healthy lifestyle portion control was important. I was quit shocked with the reception we received from the waitress. She came off like we hadn't ordered enough food. We ordered a teriyaki bowl and a sushi roll, again portion control. We ate our food no one ever came over to refill our cups, no one asked how our meal was. Though they went from table to table to inquire on others; they continuously walked past our table and never asked us anything. When our meal was complete it took 15 minutes to get our check as the staff walked past our table then turn their heads to the opposite direction. We were confused, did we not other enough food, did we say something wrong, we couldn't figure out what the problem was. I felt bad as my luv had never tried sushi and I thought this was the perfect place and I didn't want to overwhelm him on his first try. He was not happy with the service at all. I had to get one of the staff members attention to get the check which she retrieved in 2.5 seconds asked if we needed change we said no. Tried to hand her to tab but she walked away leaving the tab on the table. Lesson learned this place came highly recommended but I will stick with Mr. Sushi pleasant inviting and great customer service, oh and great sushi.
