Horrible, Terrible, Awful! They went bankrupt 6 or so months after my install. Service is impossible!!! Conversation doesn't exist. Run, Run very fast.

This is the 2nd installation that I've used Solar4America for and they've always been very pleasant and professional. I recently had a problem with a faulty breaker in the battery system and their repairman not only took care of the problem but did a complete check of my whole system at no charge to me.

For years I have been seeing the infomercials, so when the time came for going solar they were 1 of 3 I called to get a estimate thinking almost for sure I would go that route! Well being the 1st called they were the last to give a estimate due to scheduling on their side. Once the young lady arrived we told her what we were looking for in array size 48 to 50 panels along with a battery. She seemed upset that we had other estimates. Then proceeded to tell us how we don't need a battery etc etc. And how unreliable and problems with that equipment blah blah blah. She actually stated that she would love to sell a battery since she's on commission but due to pricing essentially she would not make anything and since there is no tax incentives etc it's pointless for us to do a battery and to add one latter! We then advised her of the that in fact there is a incentive. If the battery is installed initially with the panels that cost then becomes part of the federal tax rebate. And if I do it after then not only does It cost me more to install it I truly get zero incentive! This was just some of the issue's and counter claims she kept making. We asked about the penetration warranty etc and that one if the quotes we are considering is with Sunrun through Costco. We told her that through them Costco extends several aspects of different warranties etc. She basically told us SunRun rep was lieing that there is no such thing even though we had it in writing. This continued throughout her very poor proposal. In the end her quote was around $51k no battery. Well if your reps are not up to selling batteries due to basically large failure rate and poor equipment and lots of other negative facts she stated about them, then why would I want to trust any other of your equipment you want to sell me? Bottom line we had 3 quotes Solar 4 America was not the highest neither was Solar negotiators. Taking the battery out of he equation all 3 system came in @ $50k up to $51,800.00 only SunRun offered the battery which added approx $10K to the cost every panel used by these 3 were the same all 25 year "Manufacturer Warranty" And that is who earned our business SunRun should start on the next few week's. My own thoughts is Since they are a roofing company and couldn't sell us a roof since ours is hardly 18 year's old on a 50 year warrantied roof. And the fact she wasn't going to make much money or nothing on the battery. It is apparent they are selective as to what homes they want to do. Hey if business is that good more power to you. Like I have always said someone out there will gladly take your money! Total system price they passed on was. Was approximately $63k the fact she seemed miffed about having 2 other quotes is odd! Why would a consumer not shop around? But either way. Do your research decide what's best. But I will laugh anytime I see those 15 minute infomercials!
