I have cooked thousands of oysters throughout my life. I know what a good cooked oyster taste like. This place has the best oysters I have ever had anywhere. They are cooked to perfection and are just one of the best foods I have ever had my whole life. I had oysters Rockefeller all along the coast in San Luis Obispo county and they couldn't compete to Richards oysters. Yes I have gotten a bad oyster at Richards once, but that is normal anywhere you get oysters. I go to Richards usually and get about 2-3 dozen oysters and it's the best meal of my life. Also, you can't forget that this place is a time capsule to a time long ago. A true fine dining restaurant. If you don't like seafood I would also recommend the half rack of Australian lamb. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a slope going in the front door for wheelchairs.

For years I have always enjoyed Richard's. Back in 1990s it was truly the spot to go too.
