I bought a new Steinway piano at Valley Music Center recently and I couldn't be happier with my purchase and how the owners handled the delivery. The place is owned by two brothers, Heyner and Hans. I dealt mostly with Heyner for the sales aspect and Hans for the delivery of the piano and both were knowledgeable and accommodating. They even delivered the piano on a Sunday morning with a less than 24-hour notice, and they did a great job bringing the piano into the house without any issues and explaining how to care for the piano, and recommending to tune the piano in several weeks after the delivery for the best result. They seem to know a lot about Steinway pianos and are very accommodating. Their tuning technician Christina and their sales associate Jacque are nice as well. I am so glad that Fresno has a Steinway dealer and that its owners are so wonderful. I highly recommend this place if you are in the market for a Steinway!

I Love that i found this place driving by, my son really enjoys his class(11 years old) and everyone there is truly professional. Hans is a great Sales Manager and will give you a deal on those beautiful grand pianos. I recommend all first timers to at least stop by and check out the place.

Hans showed us his Valley Music Center in Fresno have received national Steinway award for excellence twice in 4 to 5 years. We truly believe him and have experienced his superb customer care as mentioned below. We were planning to buy a Yamaha digital piano, but wanted to test out a Roland piano at Valley Music Center in Fresno before getting the Yamaha. This place was the closest Roland dealer to our house, which is 1-1/2 hour drive. Before setting up the appointment on the phone, we told Hans we wanted to try out a Roland digital piano with no commitment to buy it. He said not worry about the price because it would be better to see the piano first, and he promised that he would give us a great deal package. Hans setup an appointment to fit our schedule on Sunday, which was the day they were closed. How many other places would do that? As soon as we entered the store, we were surprised by the Steinway Model D and other great acoustic pianos all in one showroom. However, as a starter for our little daughter, we were only interested in a Roland digital piano. Hans turned the volume really high to actually show how close the digital piano was to an acoustic one. He even played effortlessly a same short piece of music on both multiple times for us to hear the similarity. Later, he gave us a deal that we could not refuse. He went lower than what others offer for a comparable Yamaha plus a future trade-in package when we decide to upgrade. On top of that, right after we made the purchase, Hans and his family members shipped the piano right to our house and carried it up to the second floor. Yes, 1-1/2 drive to our house on a Sunday during heavy rain. Unfortunately, due to bad weather conditions, the bottom piece stand was slightly damaged. Hans promised to order a new replacement for the whole bottom piece. When he realized we also had concern about the top piece piano, he promised to replace the whole piano, top and bottom. He kept in touch with us throughout the whole process. As soon as he received the order from the manufacturer, he himself with his helpers made another special trip to our house to ensure that everything went smoothly. They were very professional and nice. Although the piano didn't arrive in a satisfactory condition at first, Hans took care of it in a timely manner and exactly as promised. We were extremely happy. We don't think any other dealers would go the extra mile like what Hans and his crew did. He really went far and beyond. We had never made a purchase in anything when the owner actually delivered the item to our place until this time. This shows how much he really cares about the products and customers. When we purchase a bigger house, we will definitely go back to Valley Music Center for another purchase. There is no need to go any other places for pianos. Thank you very much, Hans.

We just purchased a brand new Steinway B piano for our church in Kingsburg through Valley Music Center! My music committee and I began our search months ago, planning to visit several stores and familiarize ourselves with the various brands. Our hope was to buy local, but we were not opposed to looking State-wide. Three of my team members have played in Carnegie Hall, knowing what to expect of a quality instrument. We happened to visit VMC first, where we met the kind and knowledgeable owners, Hans and Heyner Oviedo. We played the pianos to our fingers' and ears' content. And it was very evident that we didn't need to search any further. I used to have a love/hate relationship with Steinway pianos, but coming back to them after a 30 year span felt like coming home. I am so glad our committee also saw the potential in Steinway's quality and longevity. With the help of Hans and Heyner and their technician, Christina, we have wisely invested in an instrument that will continue to bless our community for generations.
